This budding artist is Jamaican born, a NYC resident since 1984. Artical is moderately educated with an as in architecture from a CUNY School. At 40 plus he is wise and seasoned, following the tradition of great artists who bring us conscious reggae music. He's an Aquarius; he's never been married and surprisingly has no children. Prior to his recent launch into the recording industry Maurice Godden aka Artical spent a number of years as a local disc jockey/selector, playing his sound system, Artical foundation sound, for parties and night clubs through Brooklyn and Queens.

His influences include Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder. The artist believes his experience as a Disc Jockey has caused him to develop a sense of good taste for the kind of music people will appreciate both melodically and lyrically. Artical is the author of "Beyond Babylon", his debut single and according to him it's just a taste of what can be expected from him in the near future. He has asked that a big "thank you" be extended to all his supporters.
