"Kbiit  (Courage)"

This fast-paced documentary chronicles the birth of East Timor, the first nation of the third millennium. The story is told through the eyes and feelings of Olandina Alves, the first woman activist in the country. The documentary also chronicles the presence of the international peacekeeping forces in the territory and the re-building of the infrastructure and the rule of law. As the Timorese look into the future, they endeavor to overcome the traumatic memories of the violence and burnings that happened during the fight for independence.
